Scandinavians buying more and more properties in a strong market

The numbers of properties sold in Spain to foreigners keeps on going up. Especially the Scandinavians are buying a remarkably high number of properties in Spain, while the British, French, Belgium, Russian and German buyers also keeps up a high number of purchases.

While the Spanish property market in general seems to be moving slowly in the right direction, the foreign buyers are taking advantage of the prices offered in todays market. Spanish home purchases by foreigners reached 11.15% in 2013 compared to only 4.24% of sales as seen in 2009.

Most property portals and real estate agents with a long history all reports, that the interest of buying properties in Spain is very high at the moment.

Looking at the Costa Blanca South, you will find lots of building activity. More than 90% of the new built properties are already sold when they are completed, while the best locations often are sold even before building start. New build properties are experiencing a high interest due to higher building standard regulations and modern materials as standard, with a possibility to choose individual colors, tiles, worktop etc.
