The name Costa Blanca was made up in 1957 by British European Airways to promote their flights from London to Spain. Today the coast is one of the biggest tourist destinations.

The beauty of Costa Blanca

The nature on the coast gives you something of everything. Obviously you will find some of the best beaches in Spain all along the Costa Blanca. Though, not everything is beaches. Especially the Costa Blanca North offers stunning nature with its mountains in all shapes, beautiful valleys, rivers, lakes, vineyards and valleys. The North of Costa Blanca is known to have slightly more rain during autumn, winter and spring, compared to the South of Costa Blanca, where you also will find stunning nature, though fewer mountains but hilly green nature.

The biggest and most popular cities from the North are Dénia, Benissa, Javea, Moraira, Alicante, Torrevieja, Santa Pola, Guardamar and Orihuela/Orihuela Costa. The White Coast is an easy travel destination. While Alicante airport completed its expansion in 2011, it doubled the volume of capacity. From the airport you will have easy access to the whole of Costa Blanca through the highways, the N-332, by bus and the good infrastructure of the rail network.
