Torreviejas testing of new electric bus exceeds expectations

About 6 months ago, the town hall of Torrevieja was chosen to test a new type of transportation: electric busses. Since then, the bus URBINO 12 has driven between La Mata and Torrevieja centro, every single day. It is rapported that rides have been smoother and much less noisy. These types of busses are thought to increase the number of people using public transport, which means that it is likely the public transportation system will expand the next few years. Since the use of public transport has fallen a whopping 85% the last year, this is a much needed step in the right direction.
