Benidorm is a leisure and holiday town located on the Mediteranean coast of the Costa Blanca 40 km from Alicante. Benidorm is one of the most popular choices for millions of holidaymakers. It is one of the world’s largest and vibrant resorts. Benidorm is a fantastic and very popular holiday town for the ones who like intense nightlife. Visitors may find a variety of nightlife and entertainment activities in Benidorm. There are hundred of bars and night clubs to choose from and of course karaoke as always.
Benidorm has more than 70.000 inhabitants that increases manifold during the tourist season.

At the Tossal de la Cala, in Poniente, the remains of an Iberian settlement provide evidence of an ancestral past linked with fishing. Through roman, The Moors and various local rulers, the small town remained as a fishing village but already in the early 1960 it started to create the Benidorm we know today. The increasing popularity of sunshine holidays for northern Europeans resulted in Benidorm becoming an important tourist location.
Shopping
The whole of Benidorm is like one huge bazaar where shopping is undoubtedly one of the best things to do. There are over 1,600 shops of all kinds covering a total of 114,000m2 of sales area. Many popular shops in Benidorm are located in the Avenida Martinez Alejos of the Benidorm Old Town. The shops along the Paseo de la Carretera are worth a visit and visitors may find good leather goods around the Plaza Mayor. In addition; the Levante and Rincon de Loix districts of Benidorm are also popular for their top fashion boutiques, designer shops, gifts and souvenir shops. La Marina Shopping Centre in Finestrat is also a must.
Beaches
Benidorm’s beaches are justifiably famous and the resort’s continuing success owes much to those fabulous golden crescents. Stretching for a luxuriant six kilometres from Levante Beach in the east to Poniente Beach in the west, consistently high quality blue flag bathing, lifeguard patrols, a wealth of water sports and an impressive approach to cleanliness mean these beaches are among the best in Europe. What to do in Benidorm and what to see in Benidorm
El Casco Antiguo de Benidorm. This small Old Quarter corresponds to the original fishing village and is presided over by the blue-tiled domed roof of the 18th century San Jaime Parish Church. In the area around the traditional city centre of Benidorm are the main shopping streets. Balcón del Mediterráneo was buildt as a fortress to defend against the Algerian pirates. Plaza del Castillo. The L’Aiguera Park is a long green park in neoclassical style, separating the old quarter of Benidorm from the newer buildings. The two amphitheatres are used for shows and cultural events especially during summer season. El Tossal de La Cala is an Iberian settlement and one of the nicest cultural sights of Benidorm. It is located at the far end of Poniente beach in Benidorm.
House Museum (Casa Museo de Benidorm) is the main art gallery in Benidorm. House Museum is a contemporary art museum located inside a 19th century building. A number of nice collections of paintings and sculptures are exhibited at the museum. Entrance is free of charge.

- Terra Mitica is a spectacular amusement park, from where you are overlooking the Benidorm Skyline. Terra Mitica offers apart from lots of rollercoasters a number of different daily shows for all ages.
- Aqualandia is one of the worlds biggest water parks. The park covers an area of 150.000 m2 with 50.000 m2 free parking. It also has beautiful gardens with plants which are typical of the area.
- Mundomar means the world of the ocean. Here you will find lots of daily shows with all kinds of animals living in the sea, as well as eagles, parrots and much more.
- Terra Natura gives you the possibility to visit Asia, America and Europe – all within 1 zoo located in Benidorm. Put on your best shoes and walking around the park and be amazed by the many animals, stories and shows.
- Aqua Natura is a water park, which is linked to Terra Natura. When you have seen the animals and shows in Terra Natura a visit in Aqua Natura is therefore a great way to finish of another amazing day in Benidorm filled with fun, surprises and great experiences.
You can enjoy a number of interesting golf courses in the area. Many of these are designed by famous names such as Seve Ballesteros, José María Olazábal and Nicklaus Designs.
