New competitor to La Manga football

New competitor to La Manga football. For many years a large number of professional football teams have visited Costa Blanca and especially La Manga Club on Costa Calida for their annually training camps in January and February. The last few years a number of football clubs from Eastern Europe have been staying in Campoamor in Orihuela such as the very rich club anzhi makhachkala but also Shaktar Donetsk.

Now in between Campoamor and La Manga Club the construction of a new sports area, Pinatar Arean, has started in El Mojon, San Pedro del Pinatar. The construction of Pinatar Arena has started, and will involve 200 people.
The price for Pinatar Arena is 4 million Euros and will occupy 50.000 m2 of land.

There will be 3 football pitches, of where the main pitch will have facilities to host 3.500 spectators. In addition there will be build several training picthes, padeltennis courses and a clubhouse with all facilities such as massage, fitness, medical clinic, conference room and an indoor swimming pool.
