Mariano Rajoy in charge of new government in Spain Published
Yesterday, on 20th November, was held parliamentary elections in Spain. Not unexpectedly was it the opposition party Partido Popular (PP), which was the big vote winner in the election. The new man in charge of Spain is Mariano Rajoy. The outgoing minister president, Jose Luis Zapatero had already announced before the election, that he would not continue.
With 186 seats in parliament out of 350, the PP has an absolute majority and will get the peace to go ahead with the work that lies before them now. Especially unemployment, which in Spain right now is quite high, will be important to lower. Additionally, there will also be working to privatize several public companies and look at the public officials.
The elections biggest losers the socialists (PSOE) came out of the election with 110 seats in parliament.
