Inauguration of high speed train from Orihuela to Madrid

After more than 10 years of work, the Prime Minister of Spain Pedro Sanchez has today inaugurated the new line of high-speed train (AVE) connecting the southern part of Alicante with Madrid.

It now takes just 2 hours and 22 minutes to travel from Orihuela to Madrid. So far, there are two daily departures in each direction and it is expected that in the near future there will be more.
